HOLD ON LET ME CATCH A BREATH! The Edition 9 of Fit On Click T10 Corporate Cricket Tournament presented by Dubai Islamic Bank and supported by Dubai Sports Council finale day was a complete roller coaster where ten leading corporates of the country competed against each other from the 27th of April to 3rd of May in Dubai.

The Quarterfinals: We were treated to some jaw dropping games in the very first knockout round, Gulf Craft Strikers took on Besix in the first quarterfinal. The latter being the only team to have not lost a game yet were expected to cruise through to the semifinals. But cricket has a way of proving everyone wrong. The match went on to the very last ball and Besix pulled a win they will not forget in a very long time.

The Semi Finals: One Enoc took on Axiom Stars in the second semi finals of the tournament, both the teams coming out of the very same group. They knew how each other played and they seemed ready for this competition. Axiom put on a less than convincing total on board, the match seemed to be in One Enoc’s hand. But a total collapse of their batting line up saw them losing by a mere 5 runs.

The Finals: Medcare Hospitals and Medical Centers playing their first ever finals in a Fit On Click Tournament, were soaring high after beating their sister company Aster Hospitals and defeating the undefeated Besix, on the other side Axiom Stars made their way to the finals after coming third in their group and defeating Cracknell and One Enoc in the knockout rounds.

Medcare United batting first only could put up a 47 on board, but scored like this have been defended before. Axiom batting second did not get off to an ideal start, with 11 runs required off the last over and just 2 wickets in hand. Dharmender a bowler of Axiom Stars decided to step up and hit a massive 6 off the very first ball to change the fate of the game completely and take home their first ever Fit On Click T10 Corporate Cricket Tournament trophy home. Matches like these gives you chills, now that is how a final should be.

The Edition 9 of Fit On Click T10 Corporate Cricket Tournament is one which will not be forgotten in a very long time to come. Apart from some unforgettable games, there were some notable individual performances throughout the tournament which deserved recognition.

Faizal Hamza from Cracknell Landscape Design played an anchor role for the team with the bat, and helped his team reach the quarterfinals. He deservedly took away the best batsman award home.

Shameer of One Enoc had a pleasant tournament with the ball, constantly being a threat with the ball helped him win the Best Bowler accolade.

Nadish Mirza of Medcare grabbed the Man of the Series award, not only was he an ideal fielder and a consistent batsman. He was a pick of the bowler and proved himself as a lethal wicket taker in this tournament. Taking a hattrick in the semi finals just shows how consistent Nadish was, and an invaluable asset for Medcare United.
